Gavin Glenn
General Counsel
Gavin Glenn began his career in the oil and gas industry in 2006 working for Carla Petroleum, Inc. performing title research, title curative, lease analysis and due diligence review of several major assets located in the Barnett Shale.
In 2007, Gavin started working for Broadway Minerals Corporation as in-House Counsel where he planned and directed all aspects of the legal affairs of the company, including contract disputes, farmout/farmin agreements, unit designations and coordination of title opinions.
In early 2010, Gavin began work as in-House Counsel for Radius Petroleum, LLC and its affiliate Harvest Hill Oil & Gas, LLC, both startup oil and gas exploration and development companies where his main responsibility is to manage 20,000 acres of held-by-production land with ongoing re-entry drilling operations. Gavin also managed oil and gas land acquisitions for a Mississipian Kansas project and TMS Louisiana project, analyzed incoming/outgoing leases and planned and directed all aspects of the legal affairs of the company, including contract disputes, purchase and sale agreements, farmout/farmin agreements, unit designations and coordination of title opinions.
Gavin also began working with Steven S. Toeppich & Associates, PLLC in early 2010. At this Houston-based law firm, Gavin’s practice includes preparing original and division order title opinions, due diligence memorandums, resolving title claims, contract suits, and assisting clients with Texas Railroad Commission permitting matters.
In 2011, Endeavor Ohio, LLC employed Gavin to be its in-house counsel/land manager. During this tenure, his duties were to plan and direct all legal affairs of the company including contract disputes, purchase and sale agreements, farmout/farmin agreements, unit designations, coordination of title opinions during the entrance phase into the Utica Shale for an exploration and production company.
Since 2012, Gavin has worked for his company Glenn Land & Legal, PLLC where his practice focused on focusing on the transactional side of oil, gas and energy law, including purchase and sale agreements, title review, and land management projects.
Previous Experience
Gavin received his Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Southern Methodist in 1999. After graduation, he worked for an engineering firm, ASC, where he designed HVAC components and focused on process improvements at various company factories. After two years of work in the engineering field, Gavin attended Texas Tech University School of Law where he earned his Juris Doctorate in 2005. Gavin is licensed to practice law in Texas and Washington.
